Feroke Police Station is one of the old police station. It was earlier functioning as outpost and later made charging police station in 1946. As per GO M/S 2079 (Home Department) dated 25/05/1951 , Meenchanda was made outpost of this police station. It was part of Manjeri Circle from 1/7/1951. As per the GO (RT) 1832/Home/Dt.03/11/69 and the IGP’s order on C1 37869/68 DT. 21/11/69 this police station is attached to the Calicut Town South Circle from 01/01/1970. As per the GO (M/S) 76/83 Dt. 28/05/83 new Police Circle sanctioned at Meenchanda and on 15/07/83 Feroke Police Station was attached with the new Circle. GO M/S 30/90 Home Dtd 24/02/90 changed the name of Meenchanda Circle as Cheruvannur Circle.
